Thermoprint Services specialize in the repair of Datamax and Zebra label printers with an extensive knowledge-base of all of the Datamax Class range, as well as the older Datamax Legacy range of printers. Thermoprint understands that not all operators can afford to keep updating their printers when new models supersede earlier printers and will endeavor to source parts to keep your older printer running.
Do you get poor print quality from your label printer?
Do you use a thermal label printer to print labels for your products but find that the print quality is not what it used to be when you bought your printer? Your printer may need a routine service. If your label printer has not been serviced in the last six months, it is almost certain that there will be a build-up of label or ribbon debris on the printhead. This debris can cause permanent damage to the printhead if allowed to remain there as it can cause hot spots on the burnline, and eventually burn out the pixels of the printhead. It will start out as faded print as shown below, and if allowed to remain it will result in completely missing print sections. Printheads can be expensive to replace and even though they are considered to be a consumable, you probably don’t want to be replacing them prematurely when the printhead life can be extended by regular maintenance.
